Recorded live and entirely improvised, Abstract Alter is an eight minute loop-able suite of mindless piano sketches. Much like doodling when on the phone, I just sat at the piano, pressed record, and allowed my hands to explore the keys as freely as possible. It was recorded on the grand piano at my local Anglican Church, with no reverb plugins used - all natural ambience.

The title track is comprised of two takes starting from the same chord and then run together, creating pleasing chance passing notes.

Inspired by the likes of Morton Feldman, John Cage and the late, great Ryuichi Sakamoto.

All proceeds from the sale of this EP will go toward furthering the Held By Trees project.
